**PDF MEGA** ("we", "developer", or "the app") prioritizes your privacy and security. This policy transparently explains how your data is processed, in compliance with Google Play Store standards.

 

### 1. Information Collection and Permissions

 

Our application does not store personally identifiable information (Name, Phone, etc.) on our servers. However, the following permissions are required for the app to function:

 

#### 1.1. Permissions and Usage

*   **Storage:** Required to view and edit documents on your device.

*   **Camera:** Used to scan documents and convert them to PDF (Images are processed locally).

*   **Microphone:** Used to record voice for the speech-to-text conversion feature.

*   **Google Account (Sign-In):** Required for Google Drive integration and cloud-based conversion features.

 

#### 1.2. Automatically Collected Data

*   **Device Info & Logs (Firebase Crashlytics):** We utilize the **Google Firebase SDK**. In the event of an app crash, an **anonymous** technical report containing the device model, OS version, and error code is automatically transmitted to Google servers. This helps us identify and fix bugs. These data are also used to monitor the app's technical quality (Android Vitals) on the Google Play Store.

*   **Advertising Data:** The Advertising ID may be used via AdMob to serve relevant ads.

 

### 2. Document Conversion and Processing (IMPORTANT)

 

PDF MEGA performs most operations (Viewing, Merging, Reordering, etc.) **locally on your device**.

 

However, for **High-Quality Conversion (e.g., Word to PDF)** features, we utilize the **Google Drive Infrastructure**. Here is how the process works:

 

1.  **User Authentication:** You sign in with your own Google account.

2.  **Secure Processing:** The file to be converted is temporarily uploaded to **YOUR OWN Google Drive account** via an encrypted connection (SSL).

3.  **Auto-Deletion:** The file is converted by Google servers, downloaded back to your device, and then **automatically deleted from your Drive account.**

4.  **Privacy:** Your files are **NEVER sent to the developer's servers.** The entire process happens strictly between your device and your Google Drive account.

 

### 3. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage

 

PDF MEGA uses **Google Gemini API** for the **PDF Summarization** feature. This feature works as follows:

 

#### 3.1. PDF Summarization Process

*   **User Consent:** The summarization process only begins when the user clicks the "Yes" button.

*   **Data Transmission:** The text content of your PDF document is sent to Google Gemini API to generate a summary.

*   **Processing:** Google's AI model analyzes your document and creates a concise summary.

*   **Data Storage:** The sent PDF content is not used by Google for model training and is not stored after processing is complete.

*   **Transparency:** Generated summaries are clearly labeled with "AI Summary".

 

#### 3.2. Important Notes

*   This feature is completely optional and you are not required to use it.

*   We recommend not using this feature for sensitive or confidential documents.

*   An internet connection is required during processing.

#### 3.3. Speech-to-Text Conversion

*   **User Consent:** Voice recording only begins when the user presses the microphone button.

*   **Data Processing:** Your voice data is processed in real-time via **Google Speech Services** or **Siri**, depending on your device's operating system.

*   **Storage:** Voice recordings are not stored by us or sent to our servers. Generated texts are saved as a PDF on the device upon the user's request.

*   **Internet Connection:** An internet connection may be required for optimal speech recognition accuracy.

 

### 4. Third-Party Services

 

Trusted services used by our application:

 

*   **Google Drive API:** Used for file conversion processing and cloud backup. (Protected under Google's Privacy Policy).

*   **Google Gemini API:** AI-powered text analysis for PDF summarization. (Works only with user consent).

*   **Google Speech Services / Siri:** Speech-to-text processing is performed through native device voice recognition services.

*   **Google AdMob:** For displaying advertisements.

*   **Firebase:** For app analytics and crash reporting.

 

### 5. Data Security

 

*   All data transfers are protected by modern encryption methods (HTTPS/TLS).

*   Your documents are not stored, copied, or shared by us.

 

### 6. Children's Privacy

 

Our application is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
